About

Lumen Atlas is a small journal kept by two people who like maps more than is strictly reasonable. It is not a magazine and not a blog in the busy sense — just a place to set down what we notice while reading charts, walking coastlines and watching how light behaves at the edge of the land.

The Lumen project

The Atlas is the reading half of a two-part project. The making half is Lumen Press, a tiny imprint that sets and prints what we write — risograph runs, the occasional letterpress cover, and the chart reproductions we cannot stop ourselves from pulling. Same people, same lighthouse on the door, two different jobs.

Pace

We publish when a note is finished, not on a schedule. That usually means a handful of pieces a year. If you would like to know when the next one lands, write to us and we will remember.
